Me, myself and I and my pack

So here goes my first post to this blog. I have pondered a long time if I should just stick to instagram or twitter as my social media platform. Or if I should open a website or maybe a blog.

So I obviously came to the conclusion that a blog can be my thing. It is an interesting concept to reach out to other people with what I love to do. Which is photography, and documenting my outdoor activities. My main line of photography is nature and landscape. with som adventure photography inbetween. Of course I what to expand my range in capturing adventure and action scenes that I experience throuh my activities, and it is an ongoing project.

Being a familiyman, it is not always easy to get outdoors to do big adventures over a long time. So mostly it is short day mission to capture the most, when I have the possibility.

Being a family of six, we also have two dogs. Not the everyperson dog either. Why make it easy, when you can make it interesting. So we have two Alaskan Malamutes. And we love them to death. Eventhough they are super wierd and stubborn as hell sometimes as they are known to be. They are super loving, humble and will do anything for a snack and cuddles.

So the dude on the right is the big daddy of the pack, named Atlas. Weighing in at around 50 kg he takes a lot of space. The girl above, named Nord is our youngest, but she is the undisputed leader of the two. She is no pushover, and is a natural leader as her parents also is. Her parents being lead dogs in dogsled races. Atlas is more like Ferdinand the bull. Being a super chill dude, never in a hurry. So pure contrast among the two.

So a little bit more about me before I finish up this first post. I am currently just turned 35 years old. But still feel like a 15 year old. I am a registered nurse, and work as a HCM (Helicopter Crew Member), also called a rescueman, in the Norwegian Helicopter AirAmbulance. This was something a set out to try to become since I was around 16. planning out my future and what I should do to try my best if I ever was given the chance. Long story short. Been doing the job for 10 years now, and pretty proud to achieve this.

As my work platform is a helicopter, this gives me a unique opertunity to shoot photography from the air. Which many of my shoots are. Not always the easiest to get sharp images in low lights. But some come out quite alright. The photo below is of the Lyngen Alps.

So thats about it for now. See you soon.
