Feltguiden Drone
The Feltguiden apps are made to be used out in the field, not to gather information about you. That is why they are built so that they do not need your data at all.

The apps have no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you save, such as notes, locations, logs and progress, stays on your own phone. Nothing is sent to me or to anyone else.
Purchases go through the App Store and are handled by Apple. I never see your payment details.

Below you will find the full privacy policy. If you have any questions, you are welcome to get in touch.
Privacy policy for Feltguiden Drone
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Feltguiden Drone is made to be safe for everyone. This page explains how the app handles information, and the choices you have.
In short
• Feltguiden Drone does not collect any information about you.
• Everything you save stays on your own device.
• No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
• Nothing is shared with or sold to anyone.
1. Who is behind the app
Feltguiden Drone is developed and provided by Linnerud-Vågeng Thomas Liva Photo & Adventure, a sole proprietorship owned by Thomas Linnerud-Vågeng, organisation number 927 348 896, Alstadmyra 11, 8072 Bodø, Norway. We are responsible for this privacy policy.
Contact us at app.dev.thomasliva@gmail.com or via the website thomasliva.com.
2. What information do we collect?
None. Feltguiden Drone has no server, no user account and no sign-in. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking technology or third-party components that collect data. We have no access to anything you do or save in the app.
3. What is stored on your device?
To work, the app stores some information in its own storage area on your phone:
• which chapters you have read, and where you left off
• bookmarks and settings, such as level, appearance and language
• the drone you have chosen, or the figures you have entered for your own drone, and which certificate you have stated
• ticks in checklists, in “Getting started” and in the self-training
• your flight log, and the dates you enter under “Certificates and deadlines”
• your answers in the exam practice and the results of mock exams
• the chosen location in the light planner
• the places you save in My places, with name, location and notes
• whether the A2 exam is unlocked
This information never leaves the device through the app. Other apps cannot access it. If you have turned on your phone’s own backup, such as iCloud or Google backup, the information may be included. You control this in your phone’s settings, and it takes place between you and Apple or Google.
4. Location
The app only asks for access to your location when you tap “Use my location” or “Use where I am”. Access is optional.
• Your location is only used to calculate the light, or to save a place you have chosen.
• It is never fetched in the background, and never sent anywhere.
• In the light planner it is rounded to about one kilometre before it is stored.
• In My places the exact location is stored, because that is the point of the feature. It is stored only on the device.
You can turn off access at any time in your phone’s settings. The app still works: you can search for places or enter coordinates.
5. Camera and photos
The app never asks for access to your camera, photos, microphone or contacts. The location in the flight log is text you type yourself. The wind check uses figures you enter yourself, and the app does not fetch weather or maps.
6. Internet and other apps
Feltguiden Drone does not need the internet, and sends no information over the network. Some features let you choose to use other apps:
• Show on map opens the map app you choose, with only the coordinates. Names and notes are not sent. Once the map app opens, that app’s own privacy policy applies.
• Backup creates a text that you decide where to store. The text contains your places with their exact location. When you restore a backup, the text is read only on your device.
• Links to official sources, such as the Civil Aviation Authority Norway, dronesoner.no and Yr, open in your browser. The app sends no information about you there. Once the website opens, that site’s own privacy policy applies.
• Buying the A2 exam goes through the App Store or Google Play. It is the only time the app uses the network, and then it only talks to the store.
7. Buying the app and the A2 exam
You buy the app through the App Store or Google Play. The A2 exam is a one-time in-app purchase, which goes through the same store. Payment and purchase details are handled by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies. We do not learn who you are. We only see total sales figures.
The app asks the store whether the A2 exam has been bought on your account, so that it can be unlocked, and so that “Restore purchase” works without signing in to the app.
8. Crash reports from Apple and Google
The app has no crash reporting tool of its own. If you have chosen in your phone’s settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple or Google may give us anonymised crash reports and aggregated statistics. These cannot be linked to you, and we only use them to fix errors. You can turn this off in your phone’s privacy settings.
9. Sharing with others
We do not share, sell or transfer any information to anyone, because we hold no information about you. No information is transferred to countries outside the EU and EEA through the app.
10. How long is information kept, and how do you delete it?
Information stays on your device until you delete it. You can:
• delete individual places in My places, flights in the flight log and deadlines, and remove bookmarks
• tap “Forget my location” in the light planner
• delete everything with the button “Delete everything the app has stored” under “About the app and privacy”
• uninstall the app, which deletes everything the app has stored
Copies you have made yourself, such as the backup or your phone’s own backup, you must delete yourself. A purchase of the A2 exam does not disappear when you delete data. It is tied to your account with Apple or Google, and can be restored. We hold no information about you that we could delete. If you email us, we only use the email to reply, and delete it when the matter is closed.
11. Children
Feltguiden Drone can be used by all ages. The app collects no information from anyone, including children.
12. Security
Information is kept in the app’s protected storage area, and is protected by your phone’s own encryption when the phone is locked. Use a passcode or biometrics on your phone. The backup text is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere only you can access.
13. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and to object to processing. Because all information is on your own device, you are in full control: you can view, change and delete everything in the app, and take it with you in a backup.
If you have questions, contact us. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no), or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.
14. Changes
If we change this privacy policy, we update it in the app and on the website, with a new date. We will never start collecting information without saying so clearly in advance, and without asking for consent where the law requires it.
